EPHESIANS 6:10-20 NKJV
The Whole Armor of God
10/ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11/ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12/ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13/ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14/ Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15/ and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16/ above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17/ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18/ praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19/and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20/ for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
EPHESIANS 2:8-10 NKJV
8/ For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9/ not by works, so that no one can boast. 10/ For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
5/ If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6/ But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7/ That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8/ Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

CONTINUED
Before we continue, I must make a heartfelt statement regarding the scriptures we are about to read below in the book of 1 Timothy, all of chapter 6:1-21 KJV.
I have heard some professing Christians, as well as others, use these scriptures to justify the ungodly, abominable, evil, repugnantly hateful, unequivocally detestable, objectionable, loathsome, vile, nasty and disgusting, system of slavery that once took place in my country, the USA, and around the world.
There is no justification for the horrific dehumanizing abuse heaped upon millions of kidnapped, raped, bought and sold, slaves who were forceably stripped of their family, family names and identification.
Servants under a yoke of bondage to masters in Jesus time, were not forcibly stripped of their family names and idenity. Unlike slaves, they were in bondage to pay off debt and could be released once the debt was settled.
Jesus teaches us to forgive, love, respect and honor others, no matter what, including those that have done us wrong; that way we are able to move onward and upward into all of the wonderful blessings, spiritual and material, that God has for us. To do this is to fight the good fight of faith in God's WORD. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to do this victoriously. We can not do this by human ability. Our flesh naturally wants to strick our enemies back and fight them physically. These are the same enemies that will stand before us in the judgement we will all one day face in the presence of Jesus.
Psalm 23:5 NKJV * 5/ You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

Luke 6:27 NKJV “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you--
Romans 12:19 thru 21 (KJV) 19/ Beloved do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord. 20/ Therefore “ If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you heap coals of fire on his head.” 21/ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Psalm 23:6 * 6/ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

43/ “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44/ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45/ that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46/ If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47/ And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48/ Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
