Exodus 8:1-32 (NOG)
The Second Plague—Frogs
1/ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh says: Let my people go to worship me. 2/ If you refuse to let them go, I will bring a plague of frogs on your whole country. 3/ The Nile River will swarm with frogs. They will come into your palace, into your bedroom, on your bed, into the houses of your officials, on your people, into your ovens and into your mixing bowls. 4/ The frogs will jump on you, on your people, and on all your officials.’”
5/ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Hold your staff over the rivers, canals, and ponds. This will bring frogs onto the land.’”
6/ So Aaron held his staff over the waters of Egypt. The frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. 7/ But the magicians did the same thing using their magic spells and brought frogs onto the land.
8/ Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray that Yahweh will take the frogs away from me and my people. Then I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to Yahweh.”
9/ Moses answered Pharaoh, “You may have the honor of choosing when I should pray for you, your officials, and your people. Then the frogs will leave you and your homes. The only ones left will be those in the Nile.”
10/ “Pray for me tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.
Moses replied, “It will be as you say so that you will know that there is no one like Yahweh our Elohim. 11/ The frogs will leave you, your homes, your officials, and your people. The only frogs left will be those in the Nile.”
12/ After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses prayed to Yahweh about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh. 13/ Yahweh did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the yards, and in the fields. 14/ They were piled into countless heaps, and the land began to stink because of them.
15/ When Pharaoh saw that the plague was over, he became stubborn and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, as Yahweh had predicted.
The Third Plague—Gnats
16/ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Hold out your staff and strike the dust on the ground. All over Egypt the dust will turn into gnats.’”
17/ When Moses told him, Aaron held out the staff in his hand and struck the dust on the ground. It turned into gnats that bit people and animals. All the dust on the ground everywhere in Egypt turned into gnats.
18/ The magicians also tried to produce gnats using their magic spells, but they couldn’t do it. The gnats bit people and animals. 19/ So the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the hand of Elohim!”
Yet, Pharaoh continued to be stubborn and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, as Yahweh had predicted.
Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים ’ĕlōhîm [ʔɛloːˈhim]) is one of the many names or titles for God in the Hebrew Bible; the term is also used in the Hebrew Bible to refer to other gods.
We see in the scripture above {Exodus 8:19} that the magicians of Pharaoh refered to one of their many gods as Elohim. This Elohim was not the same as Yahweh, the God of the Hebrew Israelites. {Exodus 3:6 NOG) 6/ I am the Elohim of your ancestors, the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at Elohim.}
Pharoah specifically stated that he did not know Yahweh Elohim of the Hebrews {Exodus 5:2 NOG * 2/ Pharaoh asked, “Who is Yahweh? Why should I obey him and let Israel go? I don’t know Yahweh, and I won’t let Israel go.”}
The word Elohim is the plural of El (or possibly of Eloah) and is the first name for God given in the Hebrew Scriptures Book of Genesis: Genesis 1:1 NOG "In the beginning, Elohim created heaven and earth."
Elohim - God, Judge, Creator:
In the Old Testament Hebrew Scriptures, Elohim occurs over 2000 times.
The Fourth Plague—Flies
20/ Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Early in the morning, stand in Pharaoh’s way when he’s going to the Nile. Say to him, ‘This is what Yahweh says: Let my people go to worship me. 21/ If you will not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you, your officials, your people, and your houses. The homes of the Egyptians will be filled with flies, and even the ground outside will be covered with them. 22/ But on that day I will treat the region of Goshen differently. That is where my people live. There won’t be any flies there. This way you will know that I, Yahweh, am here in this land. 23/ I will distinguish between my people and yours. This miraculous sign will happen tomorrow.’”
24/ Yahweh did what he said. Dense swarms of flies came into Pharaoh’s palace and into the houses of his officials. All over Egypt the flies were ruining everything. 25/ Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your Elohim here in this country.”
26/ Moses replied, “It wouldn’t be right to do that. The sacrifices we offer to Yahweh our Elohim are disgusting to Egyptians. If they see us offer sacrifices that they consider disgusting, won’t they stone us to death? 27/ We need to travel three days into the desert to offer sacrifices to Yahweh our Elohim, as he told us to do.”
28/ Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, but don’t go very far. You may offer sacrifices to Yahweh your Elohim
in the desert and pray for me.”
“For YHWH your Elohim [indicating that other people have other gods/Elohim, as was also written in scripture Exodus *8:28 above "Yahweh Your Elohim"] is Elohi of Elohim, and Adoni of Adonim [KJV: "God of Gods and “Lord of Lords”], a great El, a mighty [El], and a terrible [El], which regards not persons, nor takes reward.”
Deuteronomy 10:17
El, Eloi, Elohi, Elohim
El is a Northwest Semitic word meaning "god" or "deity", or referring (as a proper name) to any one of multiple major Ancient Near East deities.
Eloi is Aramaic for God. Mark 15:34 * 34/ And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
(Eloi is also an Aramaic form of Elias, or Elijah)
Jesus Christ as the Son of God & one with Yahweh,
is definitely Elohim- God, Creator & Judge
2 Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV
Preach the Word
1/ I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
2/ Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 3/ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4/ and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5/ But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Psalm 82 NOG
A psalm by Asaph
1/ Elohim takes his place in his own assembly. He pronounces judgment among the gods: 2/ “How long are you going to judge unfairly? How long are you going to side with wicked people?” Selah
3/ Defend weak people and orphans. Protect the rights of the oppressed and the poor. 4/ Rescue weak and needy people. Help them escape the power of wicked people. 5/ Wicked people do not know or understand anything. As they walk around in the dark, all the foundations of the earth shake. 6/ I said, “You are gods. You are all sons of Elyon. 7/ You will certainly die like humans and fall like any prince.” 8/ Arise, O Elohim! Judge the earth, because all the nations belong to you.
9/ Moses answered, “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to Yahweh. Tomorrow the swarms of flies will go away from you, your officials, and your people. But you must stop tricking us by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to Yahweh.”
30/ Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to Yahweh. 31/ Yahweh did what Moses asked. The swarms of flies left Pharaoh, his officials, and his people. Not one fly was left. 32/ Yet, this time, too, Pharaoh was stubborn and did not let the people go.
WOW! WOW! WOW!
In the upcoming Bible Studies we will see the wrath of God poured out on people and nations that continue to ignore or go against God and His people that He loves, and who love Him back.
>LUKE 6:27-28
LUKE 6:35-36 NOG * 35/ Rather, love your enemies, help them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then you will have a great reward. You will be the children of the Most High God. After all, he is kind to unthankful and evil people. 36/ Be merciful as your Father is merciful.
Today God is pouring out blessings on whole family units, as He moves them into His promised land {The land of more than enough/Abundant life & living}.
Let's remember what God told the children of Israel:
Exodus 7:4 {NOG} I will use my power to punish Egypt severely, and I will bring my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt in organized family groups.
Exodus 22:18
You shall not allow a witch
{anyone who practices sorcery} to live {among you}.
Deuteronomy 18:9-15 NIV
9/ When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10/ Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11/ or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12/Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. 13/ You must be blameless before the LORD your God. 14/ The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do so. 15/ The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.
{ }
In Deuteronomy 18:15 NIV {above}, God promised to raise up a prophet from among the people like Moses. The apostles saw the final and decisive fulfillment of this prophecy in Jesus Christ.
