Jesus came to give everyone the chance to become part of God's family and live eternally with Him in Heavenly Places. This change Jesus ushered in of equal availability for all to be blessed, prosperous members of the family of God, had previously been reserved for only the Hebrew/Israelite people:
[Exodus 9:1 KJV * Thus saith theLORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. * Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV * 18/“And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers [Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob] as it is this day. * Ecclesiastes 5:19 NKJV * 19/As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God. The Pharisees [Jewish religious leaders @ the time of Jesus], opposed Jesus and the change He brought; not realizing they were opposing God's plan for salvation for all of mankind and a bitter price would have to be paid for opposing God.
Luke 21:24 tells us: "Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles [non Israelite people], until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." [completed historical era, set time for change] And in Romans 11:25-27 KJV we read: 25/For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in. 26/And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27/For this is my [God's] covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
EPHESIANS 2:11 thru 22 NLT
11/ DON'T FORGET THAT YOU GENTILES USED TO BE OUTSIDERS BY BIRTH. YOU WERE EXCLUDED FROM GOD'S PEOPLE, ISRAEL, AND YOU DID NOT KNOW THE PROMISES GOD HAD MADE TO THEM. YOU LIVED IN THIS WORLD WITHOUT GOD AND WITHOUT HOPE. 13/ BUT NOW YOU BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS. THOUGH YOU ONCE WERE FAR AWAY FROM GOD, NOW YOU HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR TO HIM BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST. 14/ FOR CHRIST HIMSELF HAS MADE PEACE BETWEEN US JEWS AND YOU GENTILES BY MAKING US ALL ONE PEOPLE. HE HAS BROKEN DOWN THE WALL OF HOSTILITY THAT USED TO SEPARATE US. 15/ BY HIS DEATH HE ENDED THE WHOLE SYSTEM OF JEWISH LAW THAT EXCLUDED THE GENTILES. HIS PURPOSE WAS TO MAKE PEACE BETWEEN JEWS AND GENTILES BY CREATING IN HIMSELF ONE NEW PERSON FROM THE TWO GROUPS. 16/ TOGETHER AS ONE BODY, CHRIST RECONCILED BOTH GROUPS TO GOD BY MEANS OF HIS DEATH, AND OUR HOSTILITY TOWARD EACH OTHER WAS PUT TO DEATH. 17/ HE HAS BROUGHT THIS GOOD NEWS OF PEACE TO YOU GENTILES WHO WERE FAR AWAY FROM HIM, AND TO US JEWS WHO WERE NEAR. 18/ NOW ALL OF US, BOTH JEWS AND GENTILES, MAY COME TO THE FATHER THROUGH THE SAME HOLY SPIRIT BECAUSE OF WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR US.
John 1:10-13 KJV * 10/He [JESUS]was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11/He [JESUS] came unto his own [the Israelites] and his own received him not. 12/But as many as received him [JESUS], to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13/Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
