SUNDAY, MAY 27th, 2012 is PENTECOST SUNDAY * PENTECOST * Christianity Christian celebration: a Christian festival celebrated on the seventh Sunday after RESURRECTION SUNDAY, that commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles.

We will begin this week's Bible Study by reviewing WBS #63 "Unity In The Body Of Christ" and WBS #56 "Offenses & Oppressors"

MONDAY, MAY 28th, 2012 A USA public holiday to commemorate soldiers who died in war, now observed on the last Monday in May but originally celebrated on May 30.

 IN THE USA, WE ARE A CHRISTIAN NATION!!!

    Let's look at some statistics below from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, found under "Christianity by country": 

 As of the early 21st century, Christianity has around 2.2 billion adherents.  The faith represents one-third of the world's population and is the largest religion in the world, with approxomately 38,000 Christian denominations.  The largest Christian denomination is the Roman Catholic church, with 1.7 billion adherents, representing half of all Christians.  Christianity is the predominat religion in Europe, Russia, the Americas, the Philippines, East Timor, Southern Africa, Central Africa, East Africa and Oceania.  There are also large Christian communities in other parts of the world, such as Central Asia and the Middle East, where Christianity is the second largest religion after Islam.  THE UNITED STATES HAS THE LARGEST CHRISTIAN POPULATION IN THE WORLD, followed by Brazil and Mexico.

RELATED [BROTHERS & SISTERS IN CHRIST] & UNITED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS

[regardless of denominational differences, race/ethnic background, or gender {male or female} - Jesus taught us in Mark 3:25 NKJV
 "And if a house {family} is divided against itself, that house  {family} cannot stand." 

So we must all unite in order to stand effectively for JESUS.] 

1 Peter 1:22 NLT * You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. 

1 John 3:16-18 NIV * 16/ This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.  17/ If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18/ Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

 1 John 4:20-21 NLT *  20/ If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?  21/ And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their Christian brothers and sisters.

JESUS IS COMING BACK FOR HIS CHURCH, THE BODY OF CHRIST, ALL SAVED PEOPLE

 Ephesians 5:27 KJV

 That he [JESUS] might present it [THE CHURCH] to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus speaks to us in

Matthew 13:40-43 NLT

 40/ “Just as the weeds are sorted out and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the world.  41/ The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will remove from his Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42/ And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.   

43/ Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom.  Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!
