A SURE FOUNDATION
Bible Study by Pastor Janice L Williams
Isaiah 53:3 NIV
3/He {JESUS} was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
II SAMUEL 22:2 THRU 4
2/ "THE LORD IS MY ROCK AND MY FORTRESS AND MY DELIVERER;
3/ THE GOD OF MY STRENGTH, IN WHOM I WILL TRUST; MY SHEILD AND THE HORN OF MY SALVATION, MY STRONGHOLD AND MY REFUGE; MY SAVIOR, YOU SAVE ME FROM VIOLENCE.
4/ I WILL CALL UPON THE LORD, WHO IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED; SO SHALL I BE SAVED FROM MY ENEMIES.
Psalm 37:7 NKJV
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Psalm 118:22-25 NJKV
22/ The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone.
23/ This was the Lord’s doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24/ This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25/ Save now, I pray, O Lord;
O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
Psalm 37:3-5 NLT
3/ Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4/ Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
5/ Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.
Ephesians 2:1-22 NIV
1/ As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2/in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air {satin}, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3/All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4/ But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5/made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions
ISAIAH 43:25 NKJV
"I, EVEN I, AM HE WHO BLOTS OUT YOUR TRANSGRESSIONS FOR MY OWN SAKE; AND I WILL NOT REMEMBER YOUR SINS. .
—it is by grace you have been saved. 6/And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7/in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8/For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9/ not by works, so that no one can boast. 10/ For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1Corinthians 6:19NIV
19/ Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own.

Romans 8:29 NKJV
For whom He {GOD} foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son
Being conformed to the image of Jesus is a process that takes time; it doesn't happen immediately, even though we are born again with eternal life immediately after receiving salvation, by repenting of our sins and asking JESUS to come into our heart to be our Lord and Savior. Immediately the Holy Spirit indwells our mortal body with His spiritual nature [character of God]; but it is our responsibility to take the time to get more and more knowledge with understanding of GOD'S WORD, in order for this new nature, the character of God to be developed and manifest itself in and through us.
REVIEW WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY #14 "WALKING IN THE SPIRIT" & #65 "COMING TO KNOW JESUS
THE LIVING WORD
OF GOD
JESUS STATED IN JOHN 6:63 NLT * The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
The scriptures contained in the Holy Bible were written through the Prophets of God and the Apostles of Jesus Christ. They produce a rock solid sure foundation for spiritual growth and living in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
16/All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
We come to Jesus just as we are. As we get rooted and grounded in God's Word we are cleansed from bad attitudes, ungodly speech/habits/addictions/actions, and wrong thinking.
JOHN 15:3 KJV * YE ARE CLEAN THROUGH THE WORD
As this process takes place {being conformed to the image of Christ}, sometimes we fall down, just as babies in the natural sense, crawl then fall down as they begin learning how to stand up and walk.
But if we fall, we have the assurance of having a ROCK SOLID SURE FOUNDATION IN JESUS CHRIST who won't condemn or abandon us;
Romans 8:1 KJV * 1/There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
No condemnation as long as we repent when we do wrong, and tell Him we still want to learn do His will, His way.
1 John 1:9 NKJV * 9/ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If or when we fall, we can get right back up and allow His Word to continue building, or developing us Spiritually.
HEBREWS 13:5 NKJV
For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
MATHEW 28:20 NKJV
"I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
