BIBLE STUDY FOR WEDNESDAY, October 31st-November 7th, 2012

For this week's Bible Study we will be discussing life in the Kingdom of God/Kingdom Living. 

Scripture tells us in Romans 14:17 that "the kingdom of God is RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the HOLY SPIRIT".

#2 "THE LORD'S PRAYER"

 Receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, makes us the righteousness {right standing} of God. 

The Kingdom of God indwells  our mortal bodies by the power of the Holy Spirit and produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  

GALATIANS 5:22, 23 

BLESSING WITH PERSECUTION 

 Mark 10:28-30 NKJV

28/ Then Peter began to say to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You.”  29/ So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30/ who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.

Matthew 5:10-11 NKJV

10/ "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  11/  “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." 

Present Suffering and Future Glory

18/ I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. PSALM 122:6-7 KJV * 6/ PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM THEY SHALL PROSPER THAT LOVE THEE. 7/ PEACE BE WITHIN THY WALLS, AND PROSPERITY, WITHIN THY PALACES.MATTHEW 5:9 KJV * BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS: FOR THEY SHALL BE CALLED THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

MARK 9:50 KJV * HAVE PEACE ONE WITH ANOTHER. 

 ISAIAH 26:3 KJV * THOU WILT KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON THEE.

 PHILIPPIANS 4:7 KJV * AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.

 Nehemiah 8:10, 11 NIV * 10/ Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” 11/ The Levites calmed all the people, saying, “Be still, for this is a holy day. Do not grieve.” 12/ Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them."

 "I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

John 15:9-13 NIV * 9/ “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.  10/ If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11/ I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12/ My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.  13/ Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 

 LOVE IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

ROMANS 5:5thru 8 NKJV

5/ NOW HOPE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT, BECAUSE THE LOVE OF GOD HAS BEEN POURED OUT IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WAS GIVEN TO US. 6/ FOR WHEN WE WERE STILL WITHOUT STRENGTH, IN DUE TIME CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY. 7/ FOR SCARCELY FOR A RIGHTEOUS MAN WILL ONE DIE; YET PERHAPS FOR A GOOD MAN SOMEONE WOULD EVEN DARE TO DIE. 8/ BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.

ROMANS 8:38,39 KJV

38/ FOR I AM PERSUADED, THAT NEITHER DEATH, NOR LIFE, NOR ANGELS, NOR PRINCIPALITIES, NOR POWERS, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME, 39/ NOR HEIGHT, NOR DEPTH, NOR ANY OTHER CREATURE, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD, WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.
