BIBLE STUDY FOR WEEK OF WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 5th-12th, 2011, & continuing thru WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19th-26th, 2011 

Prayer is spoken or unspoken communication with God.

PRAY IN FAITH!!!

Acts 6:4 KJV * we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 10:27 thru 31 NIV * 27/Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28/He said to them: "You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean. 29/So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection, May I ask why you sent for me?" 30/Cornelius answered: "Four days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31/and said, 'Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor.

1st Kings 17:21, 22 * 21/And he [Elijah] stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again. 22/And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

1st John 5:14, 15 (KJV) * 14/And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: 15/And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

1st Peter 3:12 KJV * For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the LORD is against them that do evil.

FATHER GOD WILL NOT HEAR OUR PRAYERS IF WE'RE LIVING IN UNREPENTANT SIN.

Isaiah 59:1-4 KJV * 1/Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2/But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3/For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. 4/ None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth:

1st PETER 2:17 KJV * HONOR ALL MEN. LOVE THE BROTHERHOOD {our brothers & sisters in Christ}. FEAR {respect} GOD. HONOR THE king. {the president}.

The Bible clearly tells us to honor each other and to respect God and our leaders.

PROVERBS 24:21 KJV * MY SON FEAR {RESPECT} THOU THE LORD AND THE king {president} AND MEDDLE NOT WITH THEM THAT ARE GIVEN TO CHANGE {have nothing to do with those who disrespect God and/or a king/president}.

Today, Monday, January 17th, 2011, & on Monday, January 16th, 2012, in the U.S.A., we do honor Reverend, Doctor, Martin Luther King Jr., a man of prayer & of great faith in God.

Reverend King was a Baptist Minister & an American Citizen who lived & died {January 15th, 1929 - April 4th, 1968} pleading for truth and justice for all people in the U.S.A. and all over the world.]

RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR, REPENT WHEN YOU DO WRONG AND THE LORD WILL HEAR YOUR PRAYERS.

[Remember Nineveh, the bloody city all full of lies and robbery [in your Bible see Nahum chapter 3 KJV] was spared destruction because the people believed God, repented, fasted & prayed [Jonah 3:5 thru 10 KJV].

2nd Chronicles 7:14 KJV * If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

WE PRAY FOR OUR NATION & IT'S LEADERS.

Colossians 3:17 NKJV * And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Philippians 2:9 thru 11 NKJV * 9/Therefore God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name.10/that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11/and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
