THE RHEMA, THE LOGOS, WORD oF GOD

Rhema is a Greek word that literally means an "utterance" or

"thing said"

It is a word that signifies the action of utterance.

 Isaiah 55:11 NKJV 

11/So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Psalm 107:20 NKJV 

20/He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. 

In Christianity, rhema is used in reference to Jesus Christ's sayings.

John 6:63 NKJV

63/........The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Logos refers to the "Word of God"- the total inspired words of God written in the Bible & incarnate in  Jesus Christ/The Living Word.

Jesus Christ, the subject in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

44/ Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of     Moses and the  Prophets and the Psalms   concerning Me.”

RHEMA- God revealed through the Spoken Word

 

Rhema refers to the revealed Word of God {revelation knowledge or word of knowledge *spiritual gift see in Bible 1 Corinthians 12:8*}, as an utterance from God, to the heart of the receiver by way of the Holy Spirit. 

 Matthew 16:13-17 NKJV

13/ When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying,“Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14/ So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15/ He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16/  Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17/Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Rhema today, at times called "the Spoken Word", refers to revelation received by believers when the Holy Spirit "speaks" to them or through them.

Acts 2:4 NKJV

4/ And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 

John 14:25-26 NKJV 

  25/ “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26/ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

17/ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

TO BE ABSOLUTELY SURE GOD IS SPEAKING TO YOU OR THROUGH YOU, ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL NEVER SPEAK AGAINST HIS WRITTEN WORD/THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. GOD THE FATHER IS ONE WITH HIS WORD-JESUS CHRIST GOD'S SON, AND ONE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT {JOHN 1:1, 14, 18}.
